Paul carried out an EICR test in my flat after it was rewired by another electrician in 2023. I wanted a third party objective opinion because I doubted the installation had been done correctly.
He impressed me with his expertise and diligence. As I had suspected,my previous electrician had cut corners and Paul pointed out whatremedial work was required.
The next job Paul did for me was to replace an old VIR sub mains cable between my downstairs neighbour’s flat and mine. He also moved a fuse box to a new position and did new water and gas bonding.
He planned the work meticulously and explained in detail each step of the new installation. He discussed different options to meet my needs: the fuse box and fuses had to fit into my cupboard, and space in my little kitchen is very limited. He did extensive research on different fuse box sizes to provide me with the optimum result. I always felt he had my best interest in mind, not just his profit. I am very pleased with the result.
I really like his reliability, transparency and honesty. When we first met and before he had even given me a quote, he briefed me on the certificates I would need from my previous electrician. This turned out to be vitally important because my previous electrician initially provided me with incorrect documents!
Paul has extensive knowledge of regulations which has helped me with planning the final set up in the kitchen. Again, my previous electrician had lacked the knowledge and had given me incorrect advice which turned out to be very costly. I wish I had come across Paul earlier and had used him to do all the work from the beginning.
Having the work done by Electrical Test and Trace has given me peace of mind and I will definitely use them in the future. I also like the fact that the company has insurance.
I would highly recommend Paul, especially if you need to check the safety of your installation or have some more complex electrical job to be done
Highly recommend
